On May 14, 1998, Manchester, New Hampshire station WMUR-TV's, Chris Thomas, host of the News 9 Online segment of the news, reviewed WebFX website (a cool graphics tool you use over the web).Graphics and text (c) 1998 WMUR-TV. Thanks for Chris Thomas for reviewing my site!!!Here's what he said in his review on the WMUR-TV website:
SUMMARY:
So you don't know how to make graphics for a web page? Did you ever want to give that web graphic a little extra zing? Now there's a free website just for you! It's called WebFX and if you're not a graphics master, it can still make you look like you are!
PROS:
Making graphics for a web page is tougher than it looks; especially when using high tech animation effects like a waving flag or gleaming logo. WebFX (zippy.sonoma.edu/kendrick/webfx) is a free site that lets you pull a graphic in from any other website, manipulate it with several effects tools and save it to use as your own. Making animated GIF images in particulr is made very easy, no matter what the original format the graphic is in.
CONS:
Keep in mind, the graphics you import may be copyrighted material and you should always request permission from a website before using a graphic as your own. Because WebFX is on an educational based web server, it tends to become congested and may not allow you on. If you get a "server too busy" error, wait a few minutes and try back again or try at a less busy time like nights.
